On this episode of the HomeKit Insider Podcast, eufy launches a new Apple Home camera system, Sonos makes a pledge, and more gear is released.

As we start to recap the news, we kick it off with the latest news from Sonos. After last adding alarms back to the app in their most recent update, they now have a new commitment to quality.

Their CEO laid out a multi-point promise that they will abide by to ensure the highest level of quality for their products going forward. This includes a new quality ombudsperson, regular reports, and internal checks.

In other news, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant have become the first two platforms to fully support Matter 1.3. This includes new device types like EV chargers, clothing dryers, and more.

Aqara has released its U300 smart lever lock this past week. It works indoor and outdoor and includes multiple verification methods such as fingerprint, Home Key, Matter, passcode, keys, and NFC.

Also just announced is eufy’s S3 Pro Cam. This is a 4K wireless camera setup that supports HomeKit Secure Video, solar charging, and night vision.

We wrap the episode with a quick hands-on of the Anker Qi2 MagGo 3-in-1 portable charger. It folds onto itself for a compact package that can easily be tossed into your bag.
