Smile! Windows 11’s Snipping Tool will soon support emojis

Microsoft is working on an update to the Windows 11 Snipping Tool that adds a couple of new tools to the app. An updated Snipping Tool is available to download for Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels. Snipping Tool version 11.2404.35.0 adds support for adding emojis to images and it can detect and scan QR codes.

We already knew that emoji support was on the way to Snipping Tool because of some leaks, but it’s now official. Microsoft shared the news in an Insider blog post.
