Xiaomi’s Poco sub-brand is gearing up to release its 2024 entries in its F series of devices. In case you’re not aware, Poco’s F series is where you can expect to see flagship specs at a very sensible price point. Last year brought the Poco F5 and F5 Pro, and we’re expecting successors for both with the F6 series. Thanks to the folks at Android Headlines, we know a bit about what the vanilla version will be running under the hood.

The Poco F6 is going to be another one of the early adopters of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. This chip isn’t as powerful as the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but it comes close and at a lower cost for the manufacturer. Since Poco focuses heavily on the budget side of things, this shouldn’t be a shocking choice.

Coming to the back of the phone, the primary camera is expected to be a 50MP Sony-made sensor, along with an 8MP Sony-made ultra-wide. It’s expected to have a third camera, which was a macro lens in the Poco F5, but there are no details on that for the F6 yet.

Another Leak Fills In Additional Specs

While the leaks above were from the work of the people at Android Headlines, a Weibo leaker called Experiencemore has filled in some of the gaps, most notably regarding the display and the battery and charging stats.

The phone is expected to have a “1.5K” (about 1220p) flat display, with the actual units sourced from two different manufacturers. A 20MP selfie camera is expected, which would be a bump up from 16MP in last year’s F5.

On the battery front, the size will remain the same as last year at 5,000 mAh, but if this leaker is to be believed, wired charging is about to make a big jump from a 67W maximum to 90W of fast charging, which would be very impressive for a Poco device.

Poco F6 For The World, Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Turbo For China

While we’ve been talking about the Poco F6, the exact same phone is likely to get another name from Xiaomi when selling in China, and that’s the mouthful that is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Turbo.

Chinese manufacturers tend to favor their home country with better storage configurations and cool features like satellite communication (it’s not like this phone is at the price point where it can get that), so different branding can make things easier to differentiate.
