The The Center at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library is now open to the public. It is equipped with a recording studio, digital studio and small meeting rooms.

The Topeka Shawnee County Public Library unveiled a new Tech Center equipped with podcasting equipment, 3D printing and video recording studio. The newly constructed tech lab allows members of the community to access high quality tech equipment with a TSCPL card.

While the current staffing at TSCPL doesn’t currently allow professional one-on-one assistance, guided orientations are available to acclimate patrons prior to use. The library website separates the user’s experience level prior to operating the technology into three categories: Newbie, Pro, and Hacker.

TSCPL welcomes all levels of experience and encourages individuals of the community to utilize the resources available at the library. Construction will conclude Sept. 1 and the daily Tech Center schedule is located on the library webpage.
