- $3.2 Million In Elaborate Bitcoin Scam Recovered In Westport: A Westport resident fell victim to a Bitcoin scam, losing over $3 million from their retirement account. The Westport Police, in collaboration with the Connecticut State Police Organized Crime Task Force, managed to track the transactions and freeze all associated accounts, recovering the lost funds. - Westport Public Schools Warns Of Possible ‘Swatting’ Incident: Westport Public School officials are preparing for a potential ‘swatting’ incident, leading to an increased police presence at each school in the district.
