T-Mobile says Ultra Capacity 5G now available for 300 million people

T-Mobile has been hustling over the last few years aiming to build the most powerful and dense 5G network. Now the Uncarrier says it has hit a major milestone, Ultra Capacity 5G coverage for 300 million Americans.

T-Mobile just cleaned up in Ookla’s Q3 wireless study winning first place in every category over Verizon and AT&T.

Now T-Mobile has announced that its rollout of Ultra Capacity 5G coverage to the majority of Americans has been completed.

T-Mobile has achieved its year-end goal of covering 300 million people with Ultra Capacity 5G (5G UC) months ahead of schedule.

The Uncarrier also highlighted that including its 5G Extended Range, 330 million Americans are covered – which is nearly all of the US population (T-Mobile says it currently has 116 million customers).

This past summer, we also saw T-Mobile launch speeds up to 3.3 Gbps with its more limited 5G SA Ultra Capacity coverage.

Another benefit to rolling out even more 5G coverage and capacity is T-Mobile 5G Home Internet availability will likely grow. Last we heard, that was available for over 50 million customers.

While there has been a lot of positive momentum for T-Mobile a few negative events recently have included a big round of layoffs in August, another data breach in September, and a snafu around older unlimited plan pricing in October.
