Tech review: GameSir X4 Aileron provides slick, stylish gaming on the move

If mobile gaming is your thing, and you want to do it on your Android phone, this is the perfect device for you.

This Bluetooth cloud gaming controller designed for Xbox, is visually very impressive, but it also delivers a pretty solid user experience.

It allows you to game in style, using the latest state-of-the-art controller mechanics to make sure gaming on the go is brilliant every time.

It has a unique magnetic two-part design that folds up into a pocket-size device when not in use, it has a really premium feel and fits most Android devices.

So what does it do and why would you want it?

GameSir X4 Aileron

It a nutshell it turns your phone into a handheld controller and is packed with very high-end features and design.

Fully wireless, it has low latency making it perfect for gaming and committed to a smooth playing experience. That is fully enhanced with the brilliant inclusion of Hall Effects, the controller design that means the sensors never touch the magnets giving you a smoother experience and mechanisms that never wear out.

In short, it is intuitive, responsive and just really smooth for gamers. You can fully customise the many buttons on the controller to suit your own preferences.

There is also the option of changing the light settings on the controller which is another nice feature to the X4 Aileron. I really liked this full package of personalisation because it stops users being restricted by what they are given.

There’s even optional thumbpads and D-pads to give you increased control over how this feels and looks when you are gaming.

Despite being fully licensed by Xbox and packaged up with a one month ultimate game pass, this is also compatible with Nintendo Switch and Playstation so there is a real versatility for gamers.

I found the set-up relatively easy to get sorted and was up and running fairly quickly, it handled a variety of games from racers to shooters without so much as a sniff of trouble.

There’s no real criticism to be aimed at the Aileron, it’s a cracking piece of kit and grips your phone well, feeling lightweight yet sturdy and clearly designed to last.

It’s not a cheap price tag, but sometimes it’s best to spend that extra money for a premium product.

The GameSir X4 Aileron is available to purchase now from Amazon UK, with an RRP of £99.99.
