Tech review: Majority DX30 PC Speakers pack a punch with USB and Bluetooth options giving you plenty of options

This product has literally turned a middle-aged man’s desk area into a pretty impressive audio set-up that any of the young gaming generation would be proud of.

My teenage daughter came up to see what all the noise was about as I treated myself to a bit of post-work Spotify to try and test the new kit out. I had to shuffle her out of my office before she could get any ideas of using it with her PC for gaming.

This is a really nice audio set-up that is lightweight, but with a very tough plastic casing that ensures it will be sticking around for quite some time.

The first thing to make clear is that there are far more expensive speaker systems on the market and that you can obviously get more high-spec products, but you won’t find a product at this price point that offers the quality that this does.

Majority are carving out a decent reputation for good quality audio products at competitive prices, and this is no different.

I think these days when you unbox a product, we are at the stage where you should almost demand a good ease of set-up. That was very much the case here with a simple Bluetooth connection, plug the USB in, connect the audio lead, and away you go.

There’s a neat little remote control built into the wires that gives you control over the power, volume, and bass, which is really all you need.

The 80-watt 2.1 speakers have a rich sound that can handle music, games, and video calls in equal measures with a clear sound that is backed up by the depth of the subwoofer.

These don’t try to be anything but everyday, basic speakers that can be used for any purpose, there’s definitely a ‘does what it says on the tin’ mentality.

The USB functionality gives them versatility for use anywhere, whether it’s in a kitchen, for a games console, a bedroom, or an office, they are really flexible.

I really like the design of the speakers, they aren’t huge and bulky and they fit in quite discretely to any setting.

These aren’t ‘scare the neighbours’ style loud, nor are they meant to do that, but I honestly feel that as a reasonably priced versatile set of speakers, they look good and sound pretty punchy when they need to.

My desktop is set up for gaming, work, and music, and these have pleased me for all of those different requirements.

The Majority DX30 PC Speakers are available via Amazon for £49.95.
