The recent series of mass layoffs in the tech sector, including Amazon and Meta’s dismissal of workers, has created an opportunity for companies that previously aspired to grow their ranks but could not because of the lack of talent, Harvard Business Review reported. Traditional firms that previously struggled to modernize business processes now have access to some of the best talents in the world. In addition, firms that could not afford to compete with recruiters from Silicon Valley companies can now offer career lifelines to dismissed tech worker, according to HBR.
