The Abxylute One Pro Android Handheld Brings Top-of-Class Specs

If you’re big on Android gaming, then you’re probably familiar with the pretty wide array of gaming handhelds that are available with the OS running. It’s no surprise, considering how powerful Android hardware has gotten. They’re basically mini gaming consoles in all of our hands.

The Abxylute One Pro is the newest one on the scene, and it aims to be affordable. However, just by looking at it, you might not notice that. It does a solid job of maximizing its value, and whether you plan to do some cloud gaming, emulation, or just play good ol’ Android titles, it is not going to let you down in that regard.

I’m not the most diehard gamer out there. These days, I still manage to get a little bit of Overwatch 2 here and there, but I don’t play games as much as I’d love to. It seems those days are in my past. However, for those who still manage to dedicate a lot of time to that hobby, there’s never been a better wealth of options to choose from, regardless of the platform that you prefer.

Android has come a very long way from games like Paper Toss and Angry Birds. These days, you can play some extremely solid titles right on the smartphone that you take with you everywhere. However, a smartphone ultimately isn’t the best form for serious gaming, and that’s why handhelds like the Abxylute (cool name, because ABXY?) One Pro exist.

In the case of the One Pro, you get a lot of solid value, and that starts at as low as $200, so let’s talk about it.

Android, Cloud Gaming, or Emulation? You’re Covered

Android gaming is a whole lot of fun, and if that’s what you’re into, then this has you covered. Games like Genshin Impact are known to push mobile hardware to the max, but worry not, since this can handle that game smoothly and with high resolution.

However, sometimes, you might want an experience that reminds you of your childhood, or perhaps an older title that you never got the chance to enjoy. That’s where emulation comes in, and yep, thanks to the MediaTek Genio 510, this has enough power to do that well. You can play PS2 titles at a straight 60 FPS.

And if you want to break the barriers entirely, it is also perfectly suited for cloud gaming, which lets you stream AAA games smoothly and without a hiccup.

The Abxylute One Pro packs a 7-inch FHD screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Before you get mad at that, remember that this is an affordable device. It weighs only 430 grams and has a 5,200mAh battery inside to power long gaming sessions. The 15W charging is a little disappointing, though.

You get a headphone jack for more immersive sound and if you want, you can plug this up to your TV and output at 4K. The device comes in a single 4/64GB configuration, though you can expand its storage.

The Abxylute One Pro launched on Kickstarter today, with expected shipping in May. If you’re a “Super Early Bird”, which means among the first 30 people, you’ll get the device for just $199. However, if you own the Abxylute One, you’ll be guaranteed the same pricing as a reward for your loyalty.

For regular Early Birds, the device is only $10 more expensive at $209. That’s not bad. However, once those discounts are gone, the One Pro will be sold at its MSRP of $249.
