TL;DR: Select configurations of the second-generation Apple Watch SE are on sale on Amazon as of Sept. 21.
Amazon has sneakily dropped the price of another brand-new Apple product in the wake of this month’s “Far Out” iPhone 14 event.
As of Sept. 21, both configurations of the new 44mm Apple Watch SE were on sale there for about $9 off — their first discounts to date. Savvy shoppers can snag the base model(opens in a new tab) for $269.98 (normally $279), or upgrade to the variant with cellular connectivity(opens in a new tab) for $319.98 (typically $329).
These price dips join a still-live Amazon deal on the Apple AirPods Pro 2, which is especially impressive considering the earbuds are still in their preorder phrase.
Launched alongside the more expensive Apple Watch Series 8 and the much more expensive Apple Watch Ultra, the SE is pegged as the model that “delivers the core Apple Watch experience” without compromising affordability. Its overhaul from the 2020 SE includes a redesigned back case made of an ultra-lightweight nylon composite material, as well as an S8 SiP advanced dual-core processor (the same chip found in the Series 8). That translates to 20 percent faster performance and support for advanced features like Activity tracking, high and low heart rate notifications, and Crash Detection.
Take your pick from three aluminum case finishes: midnight, starlight, or silver.
