With so many devices in our pockets and everyday carry, each device has its own form of charging or wattage capacity, it is now more important than ever to make sure you have the correct charger for each device. For instance, my iPhone charges at 15W via Qi2 but can charge at up to 40W when wired in, so what is the best solution? I’m here to help you pick the best charger no matter your price point.
Criteria
Over the years, I have tested many different forms of charging, from simple wireless pad chargers to 500W power bricks. So I have been able to see which works well, which needs improvement,t and which are just chargers you want to avoid. I have come up with three rules when selecting a charger:
- Multi-Functional
- Little to no heat
- Works every time you need it to
I know these points sound obvious, but you’d be surprised how poorly some chargers can be made. But now, with that out of the way lets get into these charging solutions! Be sure to watch the video below for a hands-on look at these accessories.

Magsafe battery banks
Raycon Magic Slim
Since Apple stopped making its own, this MagSafe battery bank has become my favorite. There are many MagSafe battery banks available, but they mostly work the same. They often have lights that show how much battery is left. Apple’s MagSafe battery bank was special because it worked well with your iPhone. It would appear in your battery widget, charge slowly when needed, allow reverse charging, and even show a cool animation when you attached it to the iPhone.
This is the first third-party MagSafe power bank I’ve seen that connects with iOS. So, the battery life appears in your battery widget, you can charge both the battery and the iPhone at the same time with one cable, and it’s super slim!
The Raycon Magic Power Bank Slim retails for $49.99, but there is a 20% discount code on their website, bringing it down to $40. The battery is 5000mAh, so it can easily charge up your iPhone 15 Pro Max model.
Kuxiu K1
This is the newest addition to my setup. Kuxiu just released a magsafe battery bank that also doubles as a 3 in 1 charger and even triples as a kick stand!
- 5000 mAh battery
- Kickstand built-in
- 15W fast wireless charging, 5W for Apple Watch, and 5W for Airpods
- 20W wired charging
- Comes in Titanium gold or black
- Available for $69
Stay tuned for a full review of this device because I absolutely love it.
