Christmas Classic: LEGO Creator Gingerbread House

Gingerbread houses are a winter-time favorite, but maybe you want something that won’t spoil after a few weeks. LEGO’s take on this tradition keeps all the charm of the real thing in a brick-built manner. It’s colorful, fully furnished, and even lights up to get you in the holiday mood. Throw in a couple of gingerbread people and other smaller decorations, and this build will look great on a shelf year-round.

A Great Value: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Sets

When it comes to budget-friendly products, 3-in-1 sets provide plenty of options and creative inspiration in a lot of forms. Whether it’s deep-sea creatures, dinosaurs, animals, or different vehicles, the builds are quality while not breaching the $20 price point. Out of all the many options here from LEGO, these do the best job presenting the building system’s limitless potential, while still providing solid guidelines to follow if you don’t want to come up with anything and just build.

A Wooden Display: LEGO Wooden Minifigure

Minifigures are a staple of LEGO sets, and this seven-inch wooden version is a great decoration piece for any LEGO fan. It’s paintable, can hold LEGO builds, and all-around looks excellent. Whether you customize it with bricks and paint or leave it as is, this is a tasteful decoration that still makes its LEGO-ness apparent without being too obvious.

Best for Star Wars Fans: LEGO Millennium Falcon

Is there a more iconic ship from the galaxy far, far away? Maybe, but at this point, the Falcon is such a tried-and-true LEGO classic that deserves to be in any Star Wars fan’s collection if it isn’t already. There are a lot of versions of this build, such as the extravagant 7500+ piece “Ultimate” edition, but the one we’ve chosen from here captures the iconic look you’d expect for a fairly reasonable price. Throw in a crew comprised of Chewbacca, Lando, and your favorite droids, and this is sure to be a treat for any fan of the franchise.

Of course, LEGO makes a lot of other Star Wars sets as well. The affordable X-Wing build featuring Luke Skywalker is a great value, and for big fans of The Mandalorian, LEGO’s Razor Crest set accurately recaptures the iconic ship from the show.

Clean Tees: Adidas x Classic LEGO Graphic T-Shirt

LEGO’s done a few clothing partnerships at this point, but this shirt from Adidas manages to capture the LEGO flair without being obnoxious. The brick-style logo may be simple, but it gets the job done for fans who want to show off their LEGO love in the wardrobe. Available in both blue and yellow, this quality shirt is sure to become a new favorite for fans of the brand.

Affordable Adventures: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Space Mining Mech

The 3-in-1 sets are always a great value, but this space-themed set also brings some great play potential in each form. Whether you create the posable mech and alien combo, the small robot, or the two-legged walker, there’s plenty of options for both display and play. This LEGO set leaves plenty of room for creative, inspired builds, while also providing a thoroughly fun by-the-book build for those who prefer it.

Best for Harry Potter Fans: LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons

    LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons
    LEGO

There’s been a lot of Harry Potter sets released, but this one has a little bit of everything. It’s made of multiple smaller builds instead of one massive one, which is pretty unique compared to other LEGO sets. Magic books, house scarfs, potions, wands, a Golden Snitch, and a massive Hedwig are all ready to be built and displayed in whatever way you see fit. The builds are large and detailed, and you can pick and choose your favorites without committing to the entire set.

For some more budget-friendly builds from this franchise, there’s also the smaller brick-built Dumbledore’s Phoenix and Hedwig sets. Both of these still include a lot of detail and even flap their wings if you spin their handles.

    Brick-ified Decoration: LEGO Art Sets

These sets place all the emphasis on decoration as opposed to LEGO’s other fun play-centric sets. Completely made out of 1 x 1 studs, these poster-like builds bring iconic characters from Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars to your wall in a unique style. They are fairly pricey for the size, but for adult LEGO fans, these are an excellent, subdued way to show off your LEGO geekdom.

Best for NASA Fans: LEGO Creator NASA Space Shuttle Discovery

LEGO Creator NASA Space Shuttle Discovery
    LEGO

For adult fans of LEGO, the brand occasionally steps into full-on model territory, and this Discovery build is a great example. The outsides are smoother than most LEGO builds while still keeping the brick-built charm, it has a display stand, and there are minimal play features here. Space enthusiasts will be delighted by the accuracy, alongside the Hubble Space Telescope model also included in the set. It’s pricey, but it takes a lot of pieces to get something looking this good. And besides, sometimes a lengthy build is just good for the soul.

If you have some younger space fans in your life, however, the Space Shuttle Adventure set is going to get a lot more mileage. It features a minifig, is easier to hold in one hand, and still includes a mini-satellite build—it’s even a 3-in-1 set, so you can also create a rocket and a lunar lander using the same pieces.

Race Ready: LEGO Speed Champions Theme

    LEGO Speed Champions Koenigsegg Jesko
    LEGO

LEGO’s been doing an amazing job with the Speed Champions theme—these cars may be small, but they have an incredible amount of detail packed in. Functional wheels and included minifigs make these sets great for play, but LEGO’s ongoing progression in making these cars look like the real also makes them fantastic display units. Either way, they never push too hard with the prices so collecting a ton of them is relatively easy.

There are quite a few of these sets, but LEGO recently released a new line of even more detailed cars than what had been done previously. This line includes cars such as the Koenigsegg Jesko, Toyota GR Supra, and McLaren Elva, but older sets like the Ferrari F8 Tributo and Nissan GT-R NISMO are great as well.

Best for Batman Fans: LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown

LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown
    LEGO

The Dark Knight trilogy gave us an interesting version of the Batmobile, and now it can be forever memorialized in brick form. This set manages to balance display and play excellently, thanks to the Batman and Scarecrow minifigs, various gadgets, and there’s even an alternative head for Batman to enhance play scenarios. But despite this and the midrange price, the build itself still looks fairly film accurate and is sure to be loved by any adults fans as well.

If you want something adult fans will love even more though, LEGO has released full-model versions of a couple of Batmobiles including the Tumbler and 1989 Batmobile.

Keychain Base: LEGO DOTS Round 4×4 Key Chain

LEGO DOTS Round 4x4 Key Chain
    LEGO

For a smaller gift this year, this key chain shows off the classic LEGO charm and allows for a lot of customization accordingly. Ultimately, it’s just a round LEGO base that any bricks can be attached to, but it comes with a small collection to help you get started. You can turn this into anything you want granted you can make it work within the space, which perfectly captures the core of LEGO.

Personalized Writing: LEGO DOTS Gel Pen

These aren’t your typical gel pens—well, functionally they are but they have some LEGO studs near the top for personalization. Whether you’re using the few bricks included out of the box or ones from your own collection, this is a great way for frequent writers to get a pen that speaks to them. And while the stud space is limited, there’s still a lot that can be done here if you think outside the box.

Available in a variety of colors and coming with small collections of custom-printed LEGO bricks for decorating, these bracelets are a great gift for younger superfans (and those young at heart). You can attach your own bricks for some added variety and create something wholly unique to slap on your wrist. Two are included with a set as well, and each is a different color for some more options.

The Monster Bracelets are available in Ice Cream, Adventure, Monster, Starlight, and Mermaid-themed colors.
