The BIG switch! Apple likely to change iPhone 15 charger

Apple charger is all set for the big switch with next iPhone 15 lineup; iPhone 15 charger is likely to come with a USB Type-C port instead of lightning port.

Apple unveiled the current flagship smartphone lineup, iPhone 14 series, on September 6 and the rumors about the next premium lineup have already started to surface online. Now, a new report has suggested that Apple is going to make the big switch in terms of charger. The tech giant is likely to get a USB Type-C port instead of a lightning port with the launch of iPhone 15 in European countries.

A recent tweet from an infamous leakster says that the iPhone 15 models in Europe will have USB type-C charging ports. He wrote, “Apple will be FORCED to put USB-C on all iPhones sold in Europe by Fall 2024.” The rumors say that the Cupertino tech giant has already initiated the testing of the USB type-C charging port on iPhones. The report came after a major EU ruling that forced Apple to adopt a type of cable called USB-C by 2024.

The rumors also say that the tech giant will continue to have its Dynamic Island feature on upcoming iPhone 15 series variants as well.

Earlier, leaks have suggested that Apple will once again bring two separate SoCs for the four devices in the iPhone 15 lineup. A user has shared the same on the social media site Weibo via the Chinese-language site ITHome.

Like this year’s iPhone 14 lineup, it will continue to do this with other future line-ups as well. The report suggests that the 15 Pro will get the A17 while the non-Pro mobiles will be retaining a year old chipset.

That’s not all, the other major difference that we will get to see on iPhone Pro and non-Pro models are periscopic camera lenses. “After several years of hesitation, the company will bring a periscope lens. However, it will make it exclusive to the more-expensive iPhone 15 Pro Max,” says the report. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the first iPhone to get a periscope lens. As per the analyst, the periscope lens will offer 6x magnification while capturing photos.
