OnePlus has permanently lowered the price of its OnePlus 12R smartphone. The new prices are about $100 cheaper than before.
The OnePlus 12R smartphone is now $399 for the 8GB RAM version and $499 for the 16GB RAM version. Previously, these models cost $499 and $599. This price cut comes after the launch of the OnePlus 13R and is not just a temporary sale. The discount is live at Best Buy, which should mean that the price should be this way moving forward. However, other stores have not updated the pricing.
For example, the official website for OnePlus still lists the phone for its old price of $499 for the 8GB RAM. Amazon only has used phones available to buy at the moment, and it is not clear when the site will stock new phones again. What is shown on Amazon is 128GB starting at $504 and the 256GB starting at $607. Keep in mind that these prices do not include any extra protection or the cost of shipping, and they’re from third-party sellers, so you’re far better off just buying from the OnePlus website.
The OnePlus 12R, released last year, is a strong option in the budget Android phone market. It offers features similar to the more expensive OnePlus 12, which helped it gain popularity. The price of the OnePlus 12 price struck a good balance between hardware and software for the category it is in. Seeing a bigger discount is surprising.
The phone has a 1.5k Super Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, thanks to advanced LTPO technology that adjusts the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz to save battery. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and can have up to 16GB of RAM.

The OnePlus 12R has a big 5500mAh battery, which is the largest ever used in a OnePlus phone. It also comes with an 80W SUPERVOOC charger for fast charging. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera, a 112ยบ ultra-wide camera, and a macro lens for close-up shots.
The OnePlus 12R also features a dual Cryo-velocity cooling system to keep the phone cool during heavy use. The performance of the phone is improved by the Trinity Engine, which has several features like RAM-Vita, CPU-Vita, ROM-Vita, HyperTouch, HyperBoost, and HyperRendering to improve the overall speed and efficiency.
Those who buy the phone can take it to any mobile company to get a plan. Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T will gladly give a plan, but that also means Mint Mobile, Cricket, XFinity Mobile, and Boost will be able to add service to the phone as well. Keep in mind that other networks, like Spectrum, may only be able to operate using a physical SIM card instead of the esim cards.
It is unlikely that these prices will drop any lower, so if you’ve been on the fence about buying this kind of phone, now is the perfect time, as this is a great deal. The phone I use right now cost me $800, and I did not enjoy spending that money at all.
If this had been available for these prices, I would have bought the 16GB RAM version immediately. It has a good deal of RAM, and the phone is really well made at the cheap price it is listed for. Although the bigger downside is that it is not going to be as good as a newer Galaxy or iPhone, these budget phones require sacrifices to keep them so cheap.
