Google finally confirmed the much-rumored October 19th launch date for its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones, both of which are powered by the search giant’s custom Tensor processor that was developed with a little help from Samsung. While many of the specifications for the two new phones are already confirmed, the latest batch of leaked high-quality renders reveals the presence of a 2nd-Gen Pixel Charging Stand and also gives us a good look at one of the first-party cases for the Pixel 6 series.
These leaked renders come courtesy of Blass, Evan Blass (Twitter) and we’ve embedded them for your convenience. The Pixel Charging Stand (2nd-Gen) has a refreshed design, showing a white aesthetic with a grey accent and looking a little sleeker than its predecessor.
The first-party case doesn’t appear to add too much in the way of thickness to the Pixel 6 and seems to minimize how far the camera strip protrudes from the back panel.
Something else that the renders point to is water resistance, which could mean that the Pixel 6 series is certified for IP68 water and dust protection.
Other renders reveal the slick new Material You interface that you can expect on the Pixel 6 series that will launch running on Android 12 with all of the new features including the privacy dashboard.
In case you needed it, the image above confirms the triple rear camera setup of the Pixel 6 Pro that consists of a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens.
Finally, we’ve got a great look at the Pixel 6 being connected via USB-C cable to Google’s new power brick, which is something that isn’t going to be included in the box with the phone as it will be sold separately as an accessory. And yes, it will come with its own packaging.
