When it comes to choosing the best Artifacts in The Legend of Tartar, you basically have two options:

Deadly Cobra is by far the best Artifact in the game in terms of pure DPS increase, while Death Totem is the best survivability-boosting Artifact there is, making them the perfect Artifact combo.
Getting these Artifacts is a must if you want to push late-game stages more easily, but you may also pair either of them up or substitute them with the alternative Artifacts listed below.
Best Alternative Artifacts
If you don’t have either Cobra Killer or Death Totem, then consider using these alternative Artifacts either as substitutes or for other Artifact slots:
While not as exceptional as Deadly Cobra or Death Totem, you may use either of the three Epic Artifacts listed above depending on the stage you’re trying to clear.
Use Tome of Resurrection if you’re lacking survivability, then Bracelet of Destruction and/or Potion of Speed for additional DPS.
The following Rare Artifacts are great options for beginner to mid-game players who don’t have access to top-tier Epic Artifacts yet. They can even be your best Artifacts if you manage to get them to higher star levels!
Golden Mace and Spear of Justice, in particular, perform exceptionally well in boss fights. Meanwhile, Crossbow of Death is fantastic in stages where mobs aren’t immune to Instant Death, and Axe of Ruin is just a good pick generally if you need more DPS.
How to Unlock, Get, and Power Up Artifacts
You unlock Artifacts upon clearing Stage 1-15. Once you unlock the Artifacts feature, you can get them from the following sources:
- Shop
- Events
- Ranking Rewards
- Exchange Hub
To power up Artifacts, you must get copies of them to Evolve them and clear Stage 2-7 to unlock Artifact Upgrade.
Do note that evolving Artifacts costs Gems, so make sure to only upgrade Artifacts that you’re planning to use in the long run!
We recommend that you only evolve Rare and Epic Artifacts—preferably the ones we’ve mentioned above.
