The New Xiaomi 14 Ultra Looks Stunning

Official Photos Of The Xiaomi 14 Ultra Have Been Released

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is the upcoming big boss of the Xiaomi lineup, replacing the camera beast that was the Xiaomi 13 Ultra from last year. We’ve gotten a lot of looks into what the phone will look like, but none of them have been official material.

Well, that’s changed. Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, posted official images of the smartphone via his X account, giving us a big look into what the phone will look like — in both a black and a white colorway. My assessment? It is absolutely gorgeous and will certainly turn heads wherever it goes.

The phone has a textured leather-style back, which is mostly plain besides vertically-oriented “Xiaomi” text, and a huge circular camera cutout that takes up about a third of the height of the phone. We can see four camera lenses, two LED flashes, and “LEICA” text in the center to let us know the power collaboration, dating back to 2022, is back.

Xiaomi’s New Flagship Is Scheduled To Grace MWC On February 25th

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is an amazing choice for people who want maxed-out specifications across the board when they buy a smartphone, and if you’re one of those people, you’re bound to be itching to know when you can get your hands on the device.

Well, I can’t tell you exactly when the phone will be available for purchase, but it is now very clear that it is going to be announced at MWC Barcelona 2024 on February 25th at 9 AM EST.

Can’t tune in that early? Don’t you worry about that. We’re going to be at MWC Barcelona 2024 to give you coverage on the latest releases and unveilings as they happen, so you don’t need to miss a thing.

The Specs To Expect

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra looks absolutely stunning on the outside, but can we say the same about the hardware on the inside of the smartphone? If the leaks are to be believed, then yes, we can. Xiaomi doesn’t hold back when it comes to specs and this device keeps that trend alive.

The device may come with a titanium frame, following the new trend for flagships first set by Apple and then Samsung. On the front is a stellar display: 6.73 inches, 120Hz LTPO, AMOLED, QHD+, and with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. This is slated to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Android 14, and potentially as much as 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

On the rear camera side, you can expect an identical setup to its predecessor (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?). That’s four 50MP cameras: a primary, an ultrawide, a 3.2x telephoto, and a 5x telephoto. The front camera will be 32MP. All these will be kept alive by a 5,300 mAh battery that can be charged at 90W when wired. So, I’d say it’s not hard to see that this phone is shaping up to be a monster.
