The OnePlus 10 Pro will reportedly be a monster of a phone (in a good way)

Is it too early to be talking about the OnePlus 10 Pro? We hope not because early reports show that the OnePlus 10 Pro, which will likely launch sometime around March 2022, will feature a monstrous array of hardware which includes the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor (AKA 898), a 120Hz display, and a big 5,000mAh battery.

The reported specs come courtesy of 91Mobiles, revealing the expected upgrades over the OnePlus 9 Pro that we reviewed earlier this year.

    • 6.7-inch QHD+ display, 120Hz refresh rate
    • Snapdragon 8 Gen1 CPU
    • 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage
    • IP68 rating
    • 48MP + 50MP + 8MP triple cameras
    • 5000mAh battery
    • 32MP selfie snapper

The specs above look about right with the expected upgrade to LPDDR5 memory and the latest Snapdragon chipset, what worries me is that on paper at least, the camera department doesn’t appear to offer much in terms of improvement. As with the 9 series, the OnePlus 10 Pro is said to have Hasselblad branding on the camera housing, which seems to have taken an awful lot of inspiration from Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series if the early renders from @OnLeaks are accurate.

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries a Realme GT Neo 2 in his pockets, a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
