The OnePlus 12 will be unveiled on December 4th

Every year, smartphone brands attempt to launch their flagship models that little bit earlier than they did the year before; Samsung has already scheduled its Galaxy S24 series announcement for mid-January and now we have confirmation that the OnePlus 12 will launch in China a few weeks earlier than usual. In commemoration of its 10th year as a smartphone brand, OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 12 on December 4 in China, which could mean it will come to the global market sometime in January perhaps.

OnePlus confirmed the December 4 launch date via its Weibo account with an image of Pete Lau standing on a clock whose hands are pointed at 10 and 12, respectively.

What to expect from the OnePlus 12?

Besides being powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, we expect the OnePlus 12 to sport new camera sensors, up to 24GB of RAM, and the return of wireless charging. The design of the phone appears to be an evolution of that seen on the Open and OnePlus 11 5G, and hopefully the OnePlus 12 will be in available in more colorways than black and green although that’s just wishful thinking on my part at this stage.

We’ll find out more on December 4th when the OnePlus 12 is unveiled in China, before it makes its global debut sometime during January 2024.
