The Google Pixel Watch 3 is expected to launch this year, likely in early October, just like its two predecessors. The previous two models each released with only one variant, which was 41mm, For most smartwatches, that’s the small option, so for people like me, it wasn’t an option.

However, according to a source coming from 9to5Google, it looks like the Google Pixel Watch 3 will be coming in two variants: the same 41mm size that a lot of people seem to be fine with, and a bigger 45mm option that will increase the range of people that this great smartwatch appeals to.

A bigger watch means a bigger screen to interact with and it also looks a lot dainty on the wrist. However, it would also be awesome if this bigger watch was able to take advantage of the extra space with a bigger battery inside since the Pixel Watch doesn’t have the best battery life in the game (if you want that, go for the OnePlus Watch 2).

When Can We Expect To See Wear OS 5?

Wear OS 4 came out last year, so you might expect that Wear OS 5 will certainly come out this year, but that’s not the way that things work. Sure, Wear OS 4 graced our wrists in 2023, but before that, Wear OS 3 came out in 2021, and the earlier versions in 2018. So it’s not a yearly release cycle.

However, it does look like this year might be different if the leaks are to be believed. We’re expecting Wear OS 5 might launch with the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Pixel Watch 3 later this year, keep your eyes peeled.

New Pixel Buds Pro Also Seem To Be On Their Way

A new Pixel Watch edition this year and a new size variant are great news, but if you’re also a fan of the other entry in Google’s wearable segment, the Pixel Buds, you’ll be happy to know that it seems we’ll also be getting new Pixel Buds Pro this year. We haven’t seen a third generation of the mainline Pixel Buds since 2019, so I won’t be holding my breath for a new model.

To be honest, I’m very excited to see what the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be able to do. Google’s Gemini is a huge focus of the company this year, and since the Pixel Buds have support for Google Assistant, I can bet there’ll be some kind of integration with Gemini in the Buds.
