Smartphones have gotten very expensive and the very best of the bunch will very commonly set you back well over a thousand dollars. The case is the same with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, even if you get the base model which has 256GB of storage. The starting price of the S24 Ultra is $1,299 — five years ago, it would have been bonkers to see a phone that expensive.

I’m patting myself on the back for the pun in the heading above (that’s the name of the iconic Samsung ringtone, for those not in the loop). With that aside though, the question you might be asking is whether you should splurge on the S24 Ultra with the S25 Ultra soon to arrive.
Honestly, as an S22 Ultra user, I didn’t feel a strong compulsion to upgrade to the S24 Ultra. I also don’t feel like S24 Ultra users will feel the need to upgrade to the S25 Ultra as there are bound to be few changes — though if you hate those sharp corners, the S25 Ultra seems set to remedy that.
The S24 Ultra has a great battery, an amazing display especially with Gorilla Glass Armor, a fantastic set of cameras, plenty of power, and of course, that S Pen. Honestly, if you need a phone soon or you love savings, go for the S24 Ultra right now. After all, there’s always another Samsung phone over the horizon as soon as you finally get one.
