The Specs And Design Of Infinix’s First Tablet Have Leaked

Transsion Holdings is the parent company of two big brands: Tecno and Infinix. These smartphone brands don’t have the largest footprint in more coveted markets like North America but made the smart decision to claim regions where bang-for-buck is a massive consideration.

Infinix is Transsion’s youth-focused brand and despite releasing countless smartphones (and even laptops), they’ve somehow never stepped foot into the Android tablet game. Well, that’s about to change with the Infinix XPad, and this is our first major look at the upcoming device.

The Infinix XPad Is Going To Have A Dual-Tone Modern Design

Infinix is about to jump into the tablet market for the first time ever, which is surprising as I would have expected them to have tried their hand at it at some point. This is a company that has experimented with laptops after all. This tablet has been rumored for a bit, but this will be our first actual look at a complete spec sheet and the tablet’s design, courtesy of NaijaAndroidArena.

The tablet comes in three colorways: Frost Blue, Stellar Grey, and Titan Gold. I think they all look fantastic, but Titan Gold looks striking. The back of the tablet looks somewhat metallic but is plastic, unsurprisingly. Most of it has a matte finish but a strip descending from the camera side has a metallic concentric circular look to it.

In addition to that, you get a shiny flat frame, all of which comes together to make a very modern-looking tablet. On the front of the device, you get equal and moderately-sized bezels all around.

The Specs Foretell A Midrange Device Which Will Likely Be Rather Affordable

On the spec sheet, the Infinix XPad looks solidly midrange and the price will be the best determinant of how quickly you should grab this device. For now, there’s no idea when it’ll be launching, so we’re going to need to be patient.

In the engine room is MediaTek’s Helio G99 Ultimate chip, which is a good choice to have powering a device that sits as a midrange option. It’ll come with 4GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. You’ll be able to expand that with a microSD card though. It’ll run on Android 14 with Infinix’s XOS UI on top of it (I am not a fan of XOS, to be honest).

It’s a medium-sized tablet, with a FHD+ 11-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen technology wasn’t mentioned, but I’ll bet it is an LCD of some kind as AMOLED would certainly kick up the pricing. You’ll get a 7,000 mAh battery with 18W wired charging, so it is likely going to take quite some time to charge fully.

You’ll have two cameras on the back: a 12MP primary sensor with an 8MP secondary (likely an ultrawide). On the front will be an 8MP snapper. I honestly don’t think you should be buying this if you’re in search of fantastic cameras though. Other miscellaneous factors include a headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and this will be a WiFi-only tablet, so you can leave your SIM card at home.
