During the BTC Prague conference, T-Mobile announced its intention to venture into Bitcoin mining! Marking a significant milestone in its crypto-based activities, this news further strengthens the company’s position as a major player in Web3!
Bitcoin Mining: T-Mobile paves the way for innovation!
Since 2023, T-Mobile has been running a Bitcoin node and managing nodes on the Bitcoin Lightning network. Dirk Röder, head of infrastructure and solutions Web3 at T-Mobile, emphasized the importance of what he called “digital monetary photosynthesis.” This metaphor illustrates the company’s ability to generate value in the digital ecosystem, just as plants produce oxygen and energy from sunlight.
