The Third Beta for One UI 7 Is Here and This Is What’s New

Samsung has made us wait for Android 15 much longer than any other major manufacturer has. To be honest, it’s been so long that I’ve just accepted that it will come to my device when it is time to come. However, with the major overhaul that One UI 7 is expected to be, that’s a tad annoying.

The good thing is that we’re in January 2025, which means that the official launch of One UI 7 is finally upon us—we just need to wait for the Galaxy S25 series to launch later in the month. In the meantime, the One UI 7 beta has been released for the S24 series and the third beta has just launched. A lot has been fixed or added in the latest version.

One UI 7 Beta 3 for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Family Brings a Lot of Improvements

One UI 7 is expected to be a massive change for Samsung in the software department. It won’t be as big of a change as it was when the company got rid of its TouchWiz UI in favor of One UI, but within the history of One UI itself, it might be the biggest change that we’ve seen. Quite naturally, that’s got Samsung enthusiasts excited. The only problem is how long we’ve needed to wait for it.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy S24, then you have access to the beta for One UI 7. Today, Samsung has launched the third beta update for One UI 7, fixing a lot of the issues users had in previous versions and streamlining some of the existing ones.

Samsung hasn’t made it official, but the S25 series is expected to launch on January 22nd. What it has made official is that the stable release of One UI 7 is coming on the day that the S25 series launches. Putting that official and unofficial info together means we can expect a stable release on January 22nd.

There’s no word on when we can expect that stable release, or even a beta, to arrive on older devices like the S23 or S22 series, or Samsung’s Z foldables, but it shouldn’t be too long after January, especially since Android 16 is getting an early release this year. No one wants to be waiting for Android 15 when its successor is around the corner.
