Ship Guide: Features
The following five ship features significantly impact your fleet’s stats and Power level. Want to emerge victorious in ship battles? Upgrade these key elements to unleash their full potential:
Flagship
In the Sea of Conquest, you can own multiple ships and even assign one to your trusty heroes, but the main ship, the Flagship, is the only one on which you can construct cabins. Unlike the other vessels in your fleet, once the Flagship sinks during combat, it’s Game Over.
Upgrading should be your top priority in the game to avoid losing in ship battles.
Side Ships
Your Side Ships are built using Ship Designs. Once added to your fleet, these little yet powerful ships boost your overall stats and may have unique skills that complement specific heroes.
You have two Side Ship slots to fill in, but you can unlock more once you upgrade your Flagship to Level 22 for the 3rd and Level 31 for the 4th ship slot.
As mentioned, you cannot build Cabins on your Side Ship, but you can assign heroes and install ship parts to increase its stats.
Below are the following materials needed to upgrade your Side Ship:
Rarity | Color | Upgrade Materials |
---|---|---|
Legendary | Orange | Excellent Oak |
Epic | Purple | Premium Teak |
Rare | Blue | High Quality Pine |
TIP: Build them based on their roles and types to achieve top performance for your side ships. By checking your Side Ships’ skill description, you can easily assign the best Heroes and ship parts that sync with their abilities.
Ship Cabins
In your Flagship, the Cabins are rooms that you can construct. Each serves an important purpose that contributes to your stats and overall progression.
You can upgrade these cabins using materials and gold to increase their efficiency but remember that your Flagship level restricts their maximum level. Upgrade your Flagship if you want your cabins to increase their limit. Construction of these cabins takes time, but you can use Speed-ups to increase the speed.
TIP: Need help with the construction speed? Join an active Gang in the game. The Gang in Sea of Conquest has a ‘help’ feature where your gangmates can speed up the construction time.
Ship Parts
One of the unique features of Sea of Conquest is its Ship Customization. You can collect ship cosmetics, dyes, skins, and even trail effects for your ship parts. Although these cosmetics do not increase stats, they satisfy one’s aesthetic taste.
On the other hand, actual Ship Parts will significantly increase the overall power of your beloved Flagship and Side Ship. Each ship part has rarity; the higher the rarity, the more substats you can unlock once it is enhanced.
The ship parts rarities and the number of their unlockable slots upon enhancement are listed below:
Ship Part Rarities | Color | Unlockable Substat Slots |

How to Make the Best Fleet
Here are some of the best tips on how to optimize your ship’s performance in Sea of Conquest. With these tips in your arsenal, you will dominate the seven seas and etch your name into a pirate legend!
Prioritize HP and AMR
Survivability is the most critical part of your Flagship. The higher the HP and AMR stat, the better. Not only does it prolong your survivability in battle, but it also gives you a window to overwhelm your enemies.
Mounting a full Sovereign o’ the Sea set and deploying high HP or ARM heroes such as Arab and Armstrong will ensure your fleet stands firm in combat.
Create a Fleet based on your Heroes
To fully increase your fleet performance, choose a ship that complements your Hero. A good example is the Crimson Sentinel with Lester, Ned, and Will, all of whom are Heroes with a Blazing attribute type of damage, which the Crimson Sentinel vessel boosts.
Another example is the Fearless Princess or Black Raven vessels boarded by strategist heroes such as Delilah, Molly, or Boa.
Don’t Focus on Rarities
Choosing a Legendary over an Epic or Rare is natural since it has higher stats. However, if your 6-star Epic or Rare hero has the same damage type, it will most likely outperform a 2-star Legendary hero. This also applies to Ship Parts.
The image provided is an excellent example of this. The Epic Wheel (left) has higher stats since it has a higher ship level req. than the Legendary Wheel (right). Compared to Legendary, Epic ship parts are more accessible to level which makes it ideal for F2P.
Claim your Free Ships!
Most Ship Designs can only be accessed through in-game purchases, but fortunately, Sea of Conquest gives its F2P players a chance to obtain free ships from events.
Pirate King’s Trail is an event accessible to all players. Once you have completed the milestone, you will be rewarded with your very own Crimson Sentinel ship. Most events are time-limited and usually last for a week.
Conclusion
That’s all you need to know about ships in the Sea of Conquest! If you’re F2P, don’t hesitate to participate in every event to claim those sweet free ships and upgrade materials. If you don’t have Legendary ship parts, choose Epic that matches your hero type.
