The Xbox Series X Mini Fridge is real – preorders start October 19th

It started out as a cool idea which turned into something ice-hot. A fridge that looked like an Xbox gaming console. It was the stuff of electric dreams. Xbox followed up on the enthusiasm of fans in creating a behemoth of a fridge which resembled the gaming console.

It may give you chills to know that the mini version has become reality. At the end of the E3 Showcase Microsoft released a first-look at the Xbox Series X Replica Mini Fridge. The news swept across the Xbox community like a refreshing icy blast. Could it be? A fridge that was a fridge but looked like a gaming console that you could put next to your gaming console? Would you be able to tell them apart?

The Mini Fridge (co-developed with Ukonic!) will be available in matt-black and will hold a frosty 10 cans of your choice of beverage. It also has 2 shelves in the door to put in a few provisions for the cold winter nights ahead although you’ll need to remove the first row of cans so you can close the door. The fridge has a DC power adapter to work when you are out about gaming in the Arctic tundra and has a USB port to charge devices.

When can you cool off your pre-and post-gaming drinks in one of these? Surprisingly just in time for Christmas. One could call this a cool-as-ice move by Xbox to cash in on the holiday season. Pre-orders go live on 19th October, so be prepared for a not so frosty frenzy of need for little and not-so-little Ashley at home to get one these stowed under the Christmas tree.
