The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra’s camera bump houses a secondary display that might work as a viewfinder

Xiaomi’s Mi 11 has just launched globally but there are more variants including the Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Pro that are being prepped for release. It seems that there is also a fourth, flagship model on the way in the form of the Mi 11 Ultra that has a rear camera housing that also sports a secondary display.

Thanks to the video posted by Filipino YouTuber, Tech Buff PH, that has now been set to private, we now know that the Mi 11 Ultra has at least reached the prototype stage and that it’s got a unique take on the rear camera housing.

Besides being on the huge side, the camere housing sports a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP Ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP Periscope lens with up to 120x zoom. The most interesting thing about the camera housing, though, is the presence of what appears to be a really small secondary display that can mirror the primary display, which could act as a viewfinder and also show notifications for when you’ve laid the phone face-down on a table.

The rest of the Mi 11 Ultra offers flagship features such as a 6.8-inch OLED display with WQHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, Harman/Kardon-tuned audio, as well as IP68 certification. The Ultra is also thought to sport 67W wired and wireless charging speeds along with 10W reverse charging.

We shouldn’t have too long to wait for the official launch of the Mi 11 Ultra seeing as it’s already in the hands of YouTubers, although it’s likely that it won’t go on sale in the USA, officially at least.
