There’s officially Nothing to see on July 12th at 11 AM ET/4 PM BST

Having previously promised that its debut smartphone would be announced sometime during July, Nothing has finally put a date on the launch event. July 16th is the date on which the Phone (1) will be unveiled, packing in such things as the Nothing Launcher, custom icons, and widgets, as well as an unspecified Snapdragon processor.

The Phone (1)’s launch event will kick off at 11 AM ET/4 PM BST on July 12th and will be both in-person (in London) and live-streamed, using the “Return to Instinct” slogan. You can register your interest via the link below:

Other things we already know about the Phone (1) are that it will feature a transparent rear panel, use the Nothing Launcher which brings unique icons and widgets, wireless charging, and sport a frame constructed out of recycled aluminum.

As for which of Qualcomm’s chips will power the Phone (1), we believe that it will be the recently launched Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset due to the rumored pricing being around the $500-550 figure.

How do you feel about Nothing’s first smartphone? Is it shaping up how you would like or were you hoping for more along the lines of a “flagship killer”? Let us know in the comments below.

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries a Realme GT Neo 2 in his pockets, a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
