As someone who grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s, I played a ton of simulation games on my computer. Games like The Sims, Age of Mythology, and Roller Coaster Tycoon are synonymous with my childhood. So when I saw that Apple was bringing the original Roller Coaster Tycoon to Apple Arcade, I dropped everything and put it on my iPad Pro. I was immediately taken back! In that same light, Apple released five other brand-new games that are worth taking a look at!
These are the new Apple Arcades games for April
As I said in the intro, Roller Coaster Tycoon for Apple Arcade is not the only game released. Five others have been released, and some are still scratching that nostalgic itch.
Of course, I am most excited about Roller Coaster Tycoon. But even games like Space Invaders, which I used to spend hours playing, and bringing the Game of Life to your iPad are something I can’t wait to try. The standout title this month is Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE. This is the franchise’s first original game in nearly eight years. This is an action game where players expand their Katamari by rolling up objects scattered on the map. The goal is to complete the king’s challenges and boost their subscriber count to unlock new levels in the game.
