Why grab PlayStation games on PC?
It used to be that if you wanted to enjoy a PlayStation-exclusive game, you needed to buy the latest console. That’s not the case anymore, with a growing list of PlayStation Studios games on Windows PC that keeps getting bigger. PlayStation has even invested in improving these versions, acquiring Dutch studio Nixxes to deliver masterclass PC ports.
Single-player PlayStation games usually do not arrive on PC on day one, so waiting is a downside. Naturally, if what you care about is playing games as fast as possible, then you should go ahead and buy a PlayStation 5. If you already have a gaming PC, then you should really grab a few of these “classic” titles that have been fan favorites for years.
That’s not to say that every port is perfect. On the contrary, the PC version of The Last of Us was a terrible port at launch, and only through consistent patches has it brought reviews back to ‘very positive.’
In general, this approach allows you to save money, as you often won’t be paying full price for a game, and it will usually include all of the DLC or expansions, as is the case with Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
