It’s midway through December which means we are less than 2 months away from when Samsung is rumored to be launching the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones. Thanks to the previous leaks, we are already pretty sure that Samsung’s latest Galaxy S series of smartphones will be powered by a mix of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets and the Exynos 2200 processor, and thanks to a leaked video we can see the differences between the Galaxy S22, S22+, and the S22 Ultra.
The leaked video was posted on Twitter by serial leaker @OnLeaks, and it shows off the three Galaxy S22 dummy models side-by-side. The Galaxy S22 Ultra’s design is immediately distinguishable from the Galaxy S22 and S22+ models, bearing a Galaxy Note-esque aesthetic as opposed to their evolved Galaxy S21 style. A bit squarer, flatter, and larger with a matte finish and storage slot for the S Pen, unlike the smaller glossy Galaxy S22 and S22+.
The S22 Ultra’s rear camera layout is also different and bears more resemblance to LG’s now discontinued Velvet with its flatness, eschewing the chunkier nature of the Galaxy S22’s housing. It’s thought that Samsung could rename the Ultra to something including the Note moniker which would obviously appeal to fans of the Galaxy Note line-up.
We expect the Galaxy S22 series to be announced at an Unpacked event in late January or early February, which means we are bound for many more leaks, each more revealing than the last.
