An Actual OnePlus Ace 3V Is Leaked, Providing A Potential Look At The Nord 4 (or 5)
We’ve gotten two real-world images of the next device expected from OnePlus — the OnePlus Ace 3V — on Weibo. One image is official and from a OnePlus exec and the other is from the tipster Digital Chat Station. If you’ve never heard of the OnePlus Ace line before, it’s because those devices are China-exclusive, but they end up rebranded as Nord devices internationally. So, our look at the Ace 3V is essentially a look at the Nord 4.
From these images, we only get a look at the front of the phone and part of the frame, but we can see it will have a flat display, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, and very thin bezels all around. We can also tell that the phone is going to have a flat matte-finished frame. The power button and volume rocker will be on the right side, and the left side will house the alert slider alone (a OnePlus staple).
In Digital Chat Station’s post, which has a pretty rough translation, it seems the screen will have a 1.5K resolution, the frame will not be made of plastic (so probably aluminum), and it will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Earlier leaks that we covered talked about a 5,500 mAh battery, 100W fast charging, and a 120Hz AMOLED screen.
The OnePlus Nord 4 Will Come With Some Degree Of AI
The OnePlus executive who released the photo of the OnePlus Ace 3V, Li Jie Louis, also gave away that this phone is expected to be the first “AI phone for young people”. I never considered the Galaxy S24 series as being built for geezers, but I guess they’re referring to how they likely want to integrate more youth-focused features into their AI experience.
We’ve heard a little about OnePlus AI and the features the company rolled out to the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 12 series in China, but it remains to be seen whether those AI features will carry over to the Nord. Some of the features seen include an AI Summarizer to give you quick notes on phone calls, an AI tool to summarize online articles, and the typical “object eraser” style photo editing tool, called “AIGC Remover” here.
AI is the new buzzword for manufacturers in 2024, so this news is unsurprising. Hopefully, the features make it to the OnePlus Nord 4 — or OnePlus Nord 5 if the company decides to skip “4” due to tetraphobia.
