Throw Some Money At Dbrand To Protect Your Pixel 9 Phone

It’s MadeByGoogle Day, which means that the new Pixel 9 series is officially launched. The series consists of a trio of models, ranging from the base Pixel 9 to the Pixel 9 Pro/9 Pro XL and the foldable Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Due to setbacks in the Android 15 release schedule, the series unexpectedly ships running Android 14.

Those pre-ordering one of the new Pixel 9 models will be looking to protect their new phones, and Dbrand is fast out of the blocks with case and screen protectors and skins for Google’s latest handsets. All of which sport the Made For Google branding.

Spoiler alert: Dbrand’s Grip cases bring MagSafe compatibility, which means you can use whichever MagSafe accessory you possess. Join us after the break for the details.

Sporting the ‘clickiest’ buttons and an ultra-precise camera cutout, Dbrand’s Grip case also adds MagSafe functionality to the Pixel 9 series out of the box. The edges of the case are rounded with microscopic textured dots which provide, as you may have guessed from the case’s name, extra grip.

Adding further grip are the liquid-black strips on the sides of the case, and despite dbrand going all out to prevent those with butter-fingers from dropping their flashy new Pixel 9 smartphone, drop protection is also built-in to the case. To a military-grade level.

Edges are chamfered, the rear camera setup is protected, and swiping from the edge of the display has gotten easier thanks to Dbrand’s lowering of the sides for easier access.

Far from other case brands offering a case in a paltry two or three colorways, Dbrand’s Grip case can be had in 35 finishes ranging from carbon fiber to camo to solid or marble-like designs.

The Grip case is available from the Dbrand Store in 35 designs for the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL, with pricing starting at $40.

If you buy one of the new Pixel 9 series, you have skin in the game to protect your new phone. As luck would have it, Dbrand also has skin in the game, with a bunch of finishes available to protect your brand-new Pixel. There are around 50 designs to choose from when ordering skin for your Pixel 9 handset, ranging from camo to real leather to matte white and more.

Each skin is cut by ‘ludicrously expensive cutting machines’ within a 1/1000th of a millimeter in precision. Besides protecting your phone from being scratched by your car keys in your front pocket, the skin adds grip, which means you will hopefully not drop it as often.

You can purchase a skin for your Pixel 9 model for $25 onwards, depending on your chosen finish.

Tempered Glass Screen Protector

Worried about that all-important display on your Pixel 9? Don’t be. Dbrand’s Tempered Glass Screen Protector is claimed (by Dbrand) to be the most precise fit on earth. With zero-lifting and polished sides that won’t slash your fingers when swiping, an oleophobic coating is applied to ward off the smudges from that slice of pizza you’ve just guzzled.

How many times have you applied a screen protector on the phone only to realize that it dampens the vibrancy of the panel? Dbrand says that its Tempered Glass Protector is so optically clear that it didn’t even bother trying to capture it on camera. We can’t correlate their claim, but that might be because we can’t see the phone, as Google never sent us one.

If you mess up the initial installation or are so practiced that you need one for a secondary device, you’ll be glad to learn that Dbrand includes a second Tempered Glass in the package.

You can pick up a Tempered Glass Screen Protector for your Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL directly from Dbrand’s store, which is linked below.
