Total War: Warhammer 3 delayed to early 2022

Sega and Creative Assembly’s upcoming real-time strategy game Total War: Warhammer 3 is delayed to early 2022. The team explained that this decision was made in order to make the game as polished as it can possibly be. More information on the game’s different factions is still coming this year though, including the reveal of Grand Cathay, an empire long-rumored in Warhammer lore but never seen before.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is the conclusion of a trilogy, bringing the forces of Kislev and Grand Cathay to bear (literally) against the four dark gods and their armies of demons. Sometime post-launch, an update will allow owners of all three games to join them together into one massive campaign, which may finally realize the vision of the tabletop game.

With the developers ensuring Total War: Warhammer 3 gets this extra polish, it could end up being one of the best PC games available when it arrives. Numerous other titles have been delayed out of 2021, leading to a somewhat lighter holiday 2021 release schedule and a seemingly-stacked lineup for the first half of 2022.

Total War: Warhammer 3 promises an incredible amount of content for players to enjoy. If you preorder, you’ll also get a yet-unrevealed race pack. Best of all, if you have the first two games, you’ll be able to combine them sometime after launch into one ultra-Warhammer campaign.
