Total War: Warhammer 3 brings the trilogy so far to a close, introducing six new factions at launch in one could be one of the best PC games available. One of those armies of those serving the dark the Dark Chaos God of deception, Tzeentch. Sega and Creative Assembly launched a new trailer on Friday, showing off the forces and realm of Tzeentch in further detail. You can check out the trailer below:
The army of Tzeentch is very focused on sorcery, with powerful magic attacks that can blast away the front lines of foes with ease. Creative Assembly also shared some of the gameplay mechanics for Tzeentch, such as how Tzeentch gathers Grimoires. These Grimoires are then used for a variety of different actions, such as opening enemy gates, transferring settlements between factions, causing rebellions, breaking alliances and more.
Joining Tzeentch in Total War: Warhammer 3 are their fellow dark gods: Khorne, Slaanesh and Nurgle. Opposing the forces of Chaos are the frosty kingdom of Kislev and the mighty empire of Grand Cathay.
While Chaos Corruption has been a feature of the games since Total War: Warhammer, this mechanic is being overhauled. In addition to general Chaos Corruption, there’s also unique corruption specific to each dark god, with different benefits depending on who is winning the ongoing power struggle, referred to as the Great Game.
Originally slated to launch in Holiday 2021, Total War: Warhammer 3 was delayed to sometime in early 2022 in order to allow the developers to polish it as much as possible. Post-launch, players will be able to combine all three entries of the trilogy together into one massive campaign, possibly realizing the vision of the tabletop game.
