Tribit StormBox Flow review
The Tribit StormBox Flow is a good Bluetooth speaker option inside and outside the house.
It’s summer, and the Bluetooth speaker is now a must-have an accessory for any lively group gathering. The Flow is a medium-sized speaker that can fit in a bag for whatever use you make of it.
Tribit was founded in 2017 and specializes in speakers and earbuds.
Tribit StormBox Flow – Design
The StormBox is a grey, rectangular speaker with front-facing drivers. It’s not flashy, but it still looks good.
Its design is functional, and you can lay it down for more bass and sound projection or stand it up if you’re using it at your desk. Rubber stands on the bottom and back help, too.

The battery runs at a claimed 30 hours at 60% volume, and in my use case, I’ve made that number stretch by keeping the volume low. It uses USB-C to charge, and you don’t have to worry about it disconnecting if you leave the room, with a Bluetooth range of 131 feet.

Tribit StormBox Flow – Use
I used the Flow for almost every Bluetooth speaker use case: music listening, social events, boosting my MacBook audio, and more. It can fill a room with sound and does a good job holding its own outdoors.
As for durability, it can withstand drops due to its solid construction, but we wouldn’t put it to the test as a rugged speaker.
It served surprisingly well in use at a park basketball game, playing calm music like Nujabes’ Reflection Eternal or songs with more bass like Go DJ.

The Tribit app lets you connect your StormBox speaker, control speaker settings, and equalizer adjustments. Equalizer adjustments can be toggled through the EQ button, which renders the app unnecessary for most casual uses.
Still, I used it occasionally to test the different EQ settings. These would cater to different genres (rock, classical, jazz) or even for audiobook listening, which I enjoyed using.

With a IP67 waterproof rating, you don’t have to worry about the Flow getting stormed on or used at the pool party. This rating suggests the Flow is dust-tight and can be temporarily submerged in water.
I found that the rubber sealing on its edges and its continued function under direct water means you don’t have much to worry about leaving the Flow in the elements.
Tribit StormBox Flow – A no-complaints speaker for casual use
The Flow is a good speaker if you want a medium-sized speaker that throws sound at a good volume and, if you don’t mind, a little emphasis on bass.
I’ve used the Flow for a few months and never thought it lacked anything it was supposed to have. Sure, there are better speakers, but at a higher price range.
In short, it’s dependable and stands against the test of what you’d expect from a good Bluetooth speaker.
