Turn your Lenovo PC into an Echo Show with the new Alexa Show Mode

Lenovo has a bunch of announcements planned all the way through the virtual CES2021 show, with the first offering being the unveiling of its Show Mode for selected laptops and PC’s from the brand. Show Mode turns your Lenovo PC into a hands-free, full-screen Alexa experience, pretty much like a big Echo Show.

Thanks to the far-field mics, you can issue voice commands to Alexa when Show Mode is active on your Lenovo PC, asking it to play music and turn the lights on as well as setting reminders and check the weather forecast. All of this means that you can control Alexa on PC from the other side of the room, which sounds very convenient.

Show Mode is expected to begin rolling out in Q2 of 2021 to selected PCs, including eligible Yoga and IdeaPad laptops. It sounds like it could be really useful, it’s just a shame that it’s limited to select Lenovo PCs. Would you be interested in having Show Mode on your PC or laptop? Let us know in the comments.
