UGreen GAN Charger Roundup

UGreen’s Nexode Pro series of GaN chargers is compact, efficient, and helps keep all your devices fully charged.

Choosing a charger that meets your needs can be challenging as you have to consider port types, charging time, and portability. With options ranging from 65W to 160W, Nexode Pro chargers offer various charging solutions.

Ugreen currently has an entire line of Gallium Nitride (GaN) chargers. Improved charging efficiency and power density give users faster chargers at smaller sizes, which helps with packing 100W in the palm of your hand.

UGreen Nexode Pro 65W GaN Fast Charger

The 65W charger is smaller than Apple’s 67W brick and has two more ports. The charging distribution for single-port charging is as follows:

  • USB-C1: 65W max
  • USB-C2: 65W max
  • USB-A: 22.5W max

When charging an iPhone 14 Pro, bringing from 0-100% takes around two hours, 30-80% takes forty minutes, and 80-100% takes one hour.

This charger works great for quick charging your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. We used it while traveling and at home to keep our tech fully powered.

As a fast charger, you can rely on this to get your iPhone from 0-10% charge in times of need. It fits in the pocket, albeit not as well as most portable batteries.

UGreen Nexode Pro 100W GaN Fast Charger

The 100W charger is slightly larger than the 65W in length and has the same number of ports, giving you more juice for the same number of devices.

The charging distribution for single-port charging is as follows:

  • USB-C1: 100W max
  • USB-C2: 30W max
  • USB-A: 22.5W max

It can charge an iPad to full in around two hours and has enough power to get your MacBook charged up simultaneously if you use the first port.

This charger could fit comfortably in a cargo pocket, but we’d keep it in a bag if you’re carrying it. Like the 65W, it excels at bringing your devices back from the brink while offering more power to charge your tablets or laptops.

As such, we mostly used the 100W with our iPad and MacBook Pro.

Four ports and 160W means you can charge all your devices at the same time if needed.

The charging distribution for single-port charging is as follows:

  • USB-C1: 140W max
  • USB-C2: 100W max
  • USB-C3: 30W max
  • USB-A: 22.5W max

The 160W charger has four separate ports and can charge a MacBook to 50% in half an hour.

The 160W is a comprehensive charging station for iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, MacBooks, and other devices. It ensures that almost everything in your setup can be charged simultaneously.

As such, we primarily used it at our desk. However, we also utilized it while traveling because of its convenience, requiring only one outlet in a hotel.

UGreen Nexode Pro Review Roundup – Portable and efficient

All these chargers are easy to carry and use on the go or at home. We used them reliably at our nightstands, desks, and for travel.

They came in handy when needing to revive one of our devices quickly, especially our iPhone. The 65W is best for your daily carry devices, while the 100W and 160W are best stowed in a backpack for your heavier use items.

With currently available prices ranging from $40-$100 on Amazon, those without a dependable fast charger would get a lot out of a UGreen Nexode charger. Our favorite was the 65W for its portability.
