A lot of information regarding the upcoming devices in the Samsung Galaxy A has leaked in the last few months. The devices make up Samsung’s best-selling series, considering that you get a sensible amount of performance at the higher end without needing to pay the expensive cost of S or Z series devices.
The Samsung Galaxy A26, A36, and A56 are all due for launch, and now, we finally have a date coming officially from Samsung. All three devices could possibly be arriving on the same date, and that launch day is just right around the corner. Let’s dive into what you need to know ahead of next month.
The Samsung Galaxy A Smartphones Will Arrive on March 2nd, 2025
If you’re a big fan of Samsung’s A devices, I get it. You get a respectable level of performance, solid build quality, specs that get the job done, and a price tag that won’t make your eyes water. Samsung has already launched the A06 and the A16, but those devices are oriented towards those in need of a budget smartphone. The power users are craving the phones that Samsung is yet to make official.
Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A26, A36, and A56 are going to be unveiled in no time. Through an official webpage, the South Korean OEM has made it clear that the rest of the A series is going to be unveiled on March 2, which is just three days away. You won’t have to wait too long, and for us consumers, that’s all the better. We’re an impatient bunch.
The official page reveals nothing about the phones beyond the fact that the Key Island element is going to stick around. There are only two devices in the image, so it is possible that the Galaxy A26 might not come on that day. We can expect everything else to be made official in a few days—though, the series has had its own fair share of leaks that have given us a pretty solid foundation of what we should expect from it.
The Samsung Galaxy A Series Will Have a Pretty Solid Mid-Range Spec Sheet
The Samsung Galaxy A series is unapologetically midrange, and that’s not a bad thing at all. One notable thing is that these devices will be launching with Android 15 and One UI 7—even the Galaxy S24 devices will need to wait until April for that.
All three phones are expected to be somewhat similar in terms of their build. They are expected to have 6.7-inch display diagonals with FHD+ resolution. The upper two models will also embed a fingerprint sensor in that screen, though the A26 will put it in the power button. The Exynos 1580 will power the big model, the A36 will opt for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and the A26 goes back to Exynos—the 1380, in this case.
The camera performance should be very similar across the board—50MP primary units with OIS with an ultrawide and a macro camera as the other options. In the case of the A56, that’s a 12MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro, while the Galaxy A36 has an 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro lens. The A26 only gets an 8MP ultrawide with a 2MP macro.
