Upgrade your monitor with Acer’s 27-inch 1440p display on sale for $250

This Acer Nitro 27-inch gaming monitor has dropped to $249.99 through Amazon, which is $50 off its normal price. This is within about $2 of the low this monitor reached during the Black Friday shopping weekend. If you missed that drop, which was easy to do considering everything going on that weekend, this is your chance to get it for another great low price. This monitor has been around for over a year, and this is only the second time we’ve seen it go this low. You won’t be able to find this deal anywhere else, either, as other retailers have similar models going for as much as $400.

A great monitor with all the features a gamer should want. It has 1440p resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time on an IPS panel. You’ll also get G-Sync compatibility and a USB hub.

There’s a certain baseline you want to hit when you’re looking for a gaming monitor, and this screen hits it. The specifications include a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time. That’s, in my opinion, the sweet spot for specs for a gaming screen. Add onto that that it uses an IPS panel and still manages to get a great response time thanks to Acer’s Virtual Response Boost technology that helps reduce motion blur. IPS panels have great color accuracy and solid viewing angles, so you can move around without losing what’s on the display.

The Acer monitor also has adaptive sync. It is AMD FreeSync natively, but it is also G-Sync compatible and will work with your Nvidia graphics card as long as it’s from the 20xx or 30xx series. Connectivity options include a DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, and four USB-A 3.0 ports thanks to the built-in USB hub.
