Verizon Embraces A New Logo, Getting Rid Of The Checkmark After Years

Verizon last changed its logo way back in 2015. Companies get recognized based on their logos, so this doesn’t tend to be something that happens too frequently. It is always considered to be due when a logo starts to fall out of what modern brand design looks like though (some companies are essentially immune though; think Coca-Cola).

That time has come for Verizon, and the new modern logo was unveiled today. The checkmark in the old layout gets thrown out the window, leaving just text. However, the V that starts the brand’s name now has a bit of ombre on one limb of the letter, towards where they join. There, the red of the entire V briefly shifts towards yellow. The actual font seems to remain exactly the same though, which lends itself to recognizability.

The new design also allows the V itself to be used as a smaller logo where the entire word can’t fit, and with time, I’m sure that it’ll be just as instantly recognizable as the company’s checkmark used to be.

With The New Logo Comes A Rebrand That Positions Verizon As More Than Just A Mobile Carrier

At the same time as this rebrand, Verizon has also introduced its new myHome plans for home internet, and this plan blurs the line between internet connectivity and entertainment. So, if you’ve always been looking for a way to get all your home entertainment and internet needs taken care of in one fell swoop, you might like what Verizon has to offer you right now.

First off, you get home internet, which is the core of the plan. You will be able to choose from the carrier’s Fios, 5G Home, or LTE Home plans — whichever one tickles your fancy the best — and the carrier is proud to say that you’ll get price guarantees on whichever plan you choose.

But that’s not where it stops though. You’ll also get live TV bundled in with that, whether it is Fios TV or YouTube TV. You can also opt for any of several excellent value perks which each come in at just an extra $10 each month. For instance, want to get YouTube Premium, a Walmart+ membership with Paramount+ too, the ad-supported Netflix and Max bundle, or perhaps the Disney Bundle that comes with Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+? Any one of these you choose will only set you back $10 each month, and that’s fantastic value.
