The world is filled with surprising collaborations between companies, and the video games industry is particularly prone (Minecraft and Sonic, anybody?). Today, one such collaboration is turning heads, as gaming chair company Vertagear has announced a new edition of its well-reviewed PL4500 RGB gaming chair: one that’s decked out head-to-toe with Swarovski crystals.
On paper, this sounds like a rather silly proposition, but the chair does actually look surprisingly tame, as long as you don’t look too closely. The RGB-enabled gaming chair dons a black with purple threading theme, with a lattice of Swarovski-filled diamonds occupying the center. Even the Vertagear logo gets the Swarovski treatment, making the chair look rather… sparkly.
I don’t think anyone was asking for their racing-inspired gaming chair to come equipped with hundreds of tiny crystals, but those who prefer to marry practicality and style may find this chair appealing, especially as it doesn’t go too overboard with the Swarovski crystals.
The Vertagear PL4500 Crystals from Swarovski chair is officially available to preorder from Vertagear, and comes in at a daunting $600 (a decent increase from the non-Swarovski version and other comparable gaming chairs), which makes sense given the number of crystals on display here.
The announcement for this collaboration comes on the heels of Secretlab announcing their TITAN Evo 2022 lineup of chairs, which may set the bar for best gaming chairs, just like the Secretlab 2020 Series did.
