Visible’s New $45/mo 5G Plan Has Faster Hotspot Speeds and a Smartwatch Line

Visible, the Verizon-owned prepaid phone carrier already offers some of the best deals in mobile, just sweetened the pot for its users. The latest Visible+ Pro plan is finally here, delivering faster speeds, smartwatch connectivity, and much more, all for a flat, low monthly fee.

With the new Visible+ Pro plan, users still get unlimited data and everything else the carrier has to offer, but the Pro plan steps things up a notch with full 4K UHD streaming, faster mobile hotspot speeds, free smartwatch connectivity (no extra line payment required), global day passes for international travel, and more. Basically, it’s the Visible+ plan, only better and faster. Keep in mind that 4K streaming is only available on Verizon/Visible 5G, and it’ll drop to 1080p when you’re using sub-6GHz 5G or LTE towers.

As many of you probably know, Visible is one of many MVNOs operating on the Verizon network. MVNOs are affordable because they are prepaid, but they often lack features or throttle cellular internet speeds. For example, during peak usage time or heavy load on cell towers, Verizon customers will get priority over Visible users. However, that doesn’t happen too often, and it’s not that big of a concern for most.

Why You Should Switch to an MVNO

An MVNO may not have all the same perks as a carrier like Verizon or T-Mobile, but there are plenty of reasons to switch.

While Visible still operates like any other prepaid carrier, its latest plan delivers quite the bang for your buck. Visible+ Pro subscribers will notice faster mobile hotspot speeds, which now top out at 15Mbps instead of 10, which is 3x faster than basic plans at 5Mbps.

Perhaps the best part of the new Visible+ Pro plan is that the company is providing smartphone connectivity for free. If you own an LTE-connected Apple Watch, you can bring it to Visible for free with Pro. I’d love to see major carriers like Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile offer this. Instead of paying an extra $10 per month for a smartwatch, it’s free with the Pro plan from Visible. Yes, please. Unfortunately, this only applies to the Apple Watch—sorry Galaxy Watch owners.

Other benefits include automatically blocking high-risk spam and robocalls, and you can save $10 a month on Verizon Home Internet by bundling the two. And finally, with a Visible+ Pro data plan, you’ll get access to call 85 countries (or text over 200) without requiring a separate global plan.

This is an all-in-one plan with a lot to love for a flat $45 per month. It’s worth mentioning that the older Visible+ plan is still available without some of these perks, which is now $35 without special promotion pricing. It no longer has free smartwatch connectivity (you’ll need Pro for that), but you do get 1080p streaming, and there’s no 50GB data cap.

Visible by Verizon remains one of the better options when it comes to choosing an MVNO. Last year, the company upgraded its premium plans for travelers, and you can pre-pay for an entire year to save even more money. For example, you can get Visible+ Pro for 12 months for only $450, a savings of $90 when you pay annually.
