Apple has just released beta 2 for its next major software releases, including visionOS 2.4, tvOS 18.4, and more. Here’s what to expect.
Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro is beta highlight
The latest array of beta software has arrived a little more than a week after beta 1’s debut.
So far, perhaps the biggest highlight of Apple’s upcoming software updates is visionOS 2.4.
Joining a new Spatial Gallery app and Guest mode changes, and in a move that surprised many, Apple Intelligence is coming to the Vision Pro much sooner than expected.
Though not all features are enabled yet as of beta 1, visionOS 2.4 will let users tap into AI features like:
For now, the main missing Apple Intelligence upgrades involve Siri.
Siri currently gets no changes in visionOS 2.4, including no ChatGPT integration. But Apple says new Siri features will roll out “throughout the rest of the year.”
Other than visionOS changes:
- tvOS 18.4 includes some new UI elements in the TV app but otherwise seems sparse on changes
- watchOS 11.4 and HomePod 18.4 both currently come with no known new features
