The final release of Android 12 arrived on the same day as Google unveiled the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and Vivo has joined a growing group of brands that have announced plans of a beta program. The first Vivo handset to gain access to the Android 12/Funtouch OS 12 beta program is the recently launched X70 Pro+ from the end of November.

Other Vivo handsets will get the Android 12 beta in the weeks and months after the X70 Pro+, with the regular X70 Pro surprisingly only scheduled to be updated from the end of January 2022. The other eligible models are as follows:

    From the end of November:

    From the end of December:

    • X60/X60 Pro/X60 Pro+
    • V21
    • Y72 5G

    From the end of January:

    • X70 Pro
    • X50
    • V20 Pro/ V20
    • Y21
    • Y51A
    • Y31

    From the end of March:

    • X50/ X50 Pro
    • V20 Pro/ V20 SE
    • Y33s
    • Y20G
    • Y53s
    • Y12s

    During April:

    • S1/ S1 Pro
    • Y19
    • V17/ V17 Pro
    • Y73
    • Y20/ Y20i
    • Y30

The roadmap above is aimed at the Indian smartphone market but should be a decent enough guideline as to when you can expect your Vivo handset to gain access to the Android 12/Funtouch OS 12 beta program.
