Volt, the open payments gateway, has teamed up with two partners to ensure people can seamlessly donate to victims of the conflict in Ukraine. These organisations are working to provide urgent help to Ukrainians, including medical supplies, first aid kits, transportation and critical services.

Together with Yapily and Token, Volt has launched a donation page enabling anyone to make a fee-free, instant payment to organisations supporting victims in Ukraine. These include Unicef, the National Bank of Ukraine, and the Polish Center of International Aid.

Steffen Vollert, Volt Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, said: “This portal is a simple way of securely contributing to victims of this terrible crisis. It ensures donations arrive with the organisations instantly and that there are no card fees or SWIFT costs paid by the senders or the beneficiaries. We are working with three causes, so people donating are able to choose where their money goes. The team at Volt would like to express our support for and solidarity with all those impacted by the conflict. We also thank our partners at Yapily and Token for their support.”

Recently, IBS Intelligence reported that Volt, a leading open payments gateway, has hired Nathan Marion as General Manager LatAm to lead its strategic expansion in Latin America (LATAM). This follows the FinTech’s innovative integration of Brazil’s instant payments system, Pix.

Marion joins from digital commerce platform VTEX. In his role as VP Growth Enablement, he helped the firm grow from a little-known Brazilian FinTech to a New York Stock Exchange-listed unicorn serving more than 2,500 online stores.
