On the heels of yesterday’s MacBook Pro event, Google will announce a Pixel 6 and a few other pieces of hardware today. A Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are expected at Google’s fall hardware event. The stream kicks off today, October 19, 2021, at 1 PM EST. Google will stream the event live on the Made by Google YouTube channel.

The Pixel 6 will run on a custom Tensor chipset from Google, which is expected to perform similarly to the Snapdragon 888 and the Exynos 2100. A major camera bump is also expected in the Pixel 6. The phone is said to have a 50MP main sensor and improved low-light performance. The Pixel 6 Pro will reportedly have a 48MP periscope lens with 4x optical zoom.
The new Pixel 6 devices are also expected to support 30W wired charging and 23W wireless charging.
Suspected pricing has also leaked for Google’s new hardware. The Pixel 6 is said to start at $599, while the Pixel 6 Pro will have a higher starting price of $898. Both are expected to launch on October 28, 2021.
Rumors suggest that Google will also announce a Pixel Fold, its first foldable phone. A new pair of high-end Pixel buds and a subscription service called Pixel Pass should also be announced today.
