What to expect from Galaxy Unpacked event in a few hours
Previous leaks about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 indicate exciting updates. The Z Fold 6 will be lighter and slimmer than its predecessor, with a higher maximum screen brightness and minor design tweaks. Meanwhile, the Z Flip 6 features a 50MP main camera, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and a larger battery. It also supports Samsung’s Interpreter Mode on its cover screen.
Both phones offer IP48 ingress protection, though this doesn’t necessarily mean improved dust resistance. They will also debut alongside new Galaxy AI features, following the brand’s commitment to deliver advanced AI capabilities into their devices since the Galaxy S24 series release.
From what we know about upcoming Galaxy Watches, the Watch 7 and Watch Ultra will use the Exynos W1000 processor, double the storage at 32GB, and improvements in design and software. They will appear in 40mm and 44mm sizes with Bluetooth and LTE options. However, the Galaxy Watch Ultra stands out with its squircle case design, larger 47mm size, titanium build, and a decent 590mAh battery. Leaks for the Galaxy Buds 3 and the company’s first smart ring have also made their rounds. But they all remain unconfirmed until the main event says otherwise.
There’s still time to score discounts
Knowing Samsung, their newest gadgets will rip a hole in your pocket. Thankfully, they’ve been generous to run special deals for a limited period that should fetch you great discounts. If you reserved a new Galaxy device before the event, you would have received a $50 credit towards your purchase. This credit automatically applies at checkout. Also, reserving a device alone enters you into a sweepstakes where you could win a $5,000 virtual gift card. The winner will be randomly selected around July 15.
These special deals end today, although there may still be time to take advantage. Visit Samsung’s official website for reservations. You can still save up to $1,500 when you pre-order a new Galaxy device. The exact amount of savings will depend on the device and any trade-in offers. Preorders should start once Galaxy Unpacked has wrapped.
