watchOS 11.2 now available for Apple Watch users

Along with the release of iOS 18.2 to the public, Apple is today also releasing watchOS 11.2 for Apple Watch users. Unlike iOS 18.2, which adds new Apple Intelligence features, watchOS 11.2 isn’t exactly a major update – but it does add a new feature to the Camera Remote app.

What’s new with watchOS 11.2

There’s not much to say about watchOS 11.2 except that the update comes with bug fixes and general improvements. However, those who use the Camera Remote app on the Apple Watch to control the iPhone camera will notice a new feature. More specifically, the app now lets users pause video during recording. The same option was added to iPhone users with iOS 18.0 in September.

In addition to this improvement, Apple Watch users in China can now check tidal conditions on the new Tides that was added with watchOS 11.

You can update your Apple Watch by going to Settings > General > Software Update. It’s worth noting that the Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% battery power and be plugged into a charger in order to install watchOS updates.
